As an IT Security & DevOps Cloud Engineer (m/f/x) at payever, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure and services. In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise in IT security and DevOps practices to design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable cloud solutions that meet the highest standards of security, performance, and availability.

You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our systems, data, and customer information by implementing robust security measures. This includes conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and remediate potential risks. You will design and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization, staying up to date with the latest security trends, emerging threats, and industry best practices.

In addition to IT security, you will also contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our cloud infrastructure through DevOps practices. You will leverage modern DevOps tools and methodologies to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes. By implementing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, you will enable faster and more reliable software releases. You will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineering and operations, to align security and DevOps practices and ensure seamless integration.

As part of your role, you will actively monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of our cloud services. You will troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues in a timely manner, minimizing any potential disruptions. Furthermore, you will contribute to cloud governance and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to relevant industry standards and regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA. You will implement access controls, identity and access management solutions, and data protection mechanisms to maintain data confidentiality and integrity. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate security audits and assessments, maintaining comprehensive audit trails, logs, and monitoring systems.

Your technical expertise will be complemented by effective collaboration and documentation skills. You will provide guidance and support to stakeholders on security best practices and cloud architecture, ensuring that security considerations are embedded throughout the development lifecycle. You will document and communicate security and operational procedures, guidelines, and standards to foster a culture of security awareness and compliance.

To excel in this role, you should have a high interest in IT security, cloud engineering, or a related field. Large motivation to grow into cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, and associated security services is essential. You should possess a first understanding of IT security principles, frameworks, and industry best practices. First knowledge in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Shell, or PowerShell is valuable, along with familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Relevant certifications in IT security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) and cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) will be advantageous.

Joining payever as an IT Security & DevOps Cloud Engineer (m/f/x) offers you the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with top talent, and make a significant impact in securing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure.
